Our History

While Leica Geosystems’ history of precision measurement tools spans through 200 years of Swiss innovation, the BLK series of laser scanners began in 2016 with the introduction of the BLK360. With incredible ease-of-use and accessibility to new reality capture users, the BLK360 launched Leica Geosystems into new fields, industries, and uses for laser scanning. When combined, BLK sensors and Reality Cloud Studio, enable our users to build their own Smart Digital Realities that include digital twins that represent our world and help us create intelligent solutions that drive innovation and sustainability.
